Product Description

Hidden Tiger Pill

Liver blood-kidney yin vacuity with vacuity heat or fire effulgence

Enriches yin and drains fire, strengthens the sinews and bones

Multiple sclerosis and other atrophic conditions of the musculature, the sequelae of poliomyelitis, and tuberculosis of the knee

* Dry hair
* Brittle nails
* Blurred vision
* Cramps in the calves at night
* Low back and knee soreness and limpness
* Wilting of the sinews and bones
* Wasting of the legs and feet
* Difficulty walking
* A red tongue with scanty fur
* A fine, rapid pulse

Within this formula, Gui Ban, Shu Di Huang, and Bai Shao all nourish the blood and enrich yin. Gou Gu (dog bone, substituted for Hu Gu, Os Tigridis, due to the latter coming from an endangered species) strengthens the bones. Suo Yang invigorates yang while also strengthening the sinews and bones. Its use is predicated on seeking yang when supplementing yin. Zhi Mu and Huang Bai clear heat and drain fire. Zhi Mu also enriches yin. Chen Pi rectifies the Qi and eliminates dampness to help preventing the slimy, enriching ingredients from causing stagnation. Gan Jiang warms the interior and helps the bitter, cold ingredients from damaging yang. Because it helps fortify the spleen, it also indirectly promotes the engenderment of blood.
